THE INQUIRY PROCESS

 

CONSULTATION PHASE
Your initial phone, email or written inquiry is evaluated by one of our experienced application engineers. Your needs are carefully reviewed to see if they fit within our expertise. There is no charge for this initial consultation and evaluation. Once it is determined that we can serve your needs, a further plan of action is developed and initiated. Often, if we cannot handle your project, we can recommend someone that can.

QUOTATION PHASE
A firm proposal outlining all expected costs is prepared and presented. Our proposals can be based on a per piece cost or may involve a piece cost plus engineering development charges. A product support agreement is made. Change and rework costs are clearly outlined.

DESIGN PHASE
Once quantities, pricing, terms and delivery are agreed upon and an order is placed, the design phase begins. Our experienced engineers use computer aided design tools to layout your project and source components that are required. Drawings are created for manufacturing and customer review.

REVIEW PHASE
Before manufacturing begins, a final review meeting is conducted between the project engineer, project manager and customer representatives. Any remaining questions and issues are resolved.

FIRST ARTICLE PHASE
After final review and approval by all involved, a first article is manufactured. We may manufacture as few as one part or several parts.

FINAL APPROVAL PHASE
The project engineer and customer review the first article for approval. Often the manufactured component is part of a greater system so it is installed in the system to be sure it fits properly and interfaces as expected with the other system components.

PRODUCTION PHASE
Upon final approval of the first article, production level parts are ordered and manufacturing is completed in a timely manner. All parts are fully tested before being approved for shipment.

SUPPORT PHASE
All parts are supported as agreed upon. Warranty and Out Of Warranty transactions are handled quickly, accurately and courteously.
